Tahi Beachwood park is one of Auckland’s newest playgrounds. Thanks to Numat, surfacing the playground was done within budget and without compromising on the usability and the longevity of the surfacing.
When the Auckland City Council brought Numat on-board to install surfacing at Tahi Beachwood playground, we adapted our product to meet their specifications and budget.
To keep costs down for this playground, Numat used a combination of surfaces including our long-lasting MulchSet and our more affordable TopChip surfacing.
MulchSet rubber surfacing was installed in selective high-impact areas like landing zones and under swings, while the woodchips were used to fill out the remaining playground areas.
The combination of these two products provides the benefits of making the playground more accessible to children with physical disabilities and lowering the maintenance required to ensure the integrity of the safety surfaces.
