Just Kidz Albany
The playspace at JustKidz Albany was an ambitious project from the beginning. This was because it was surrounded on three sides by large buildings.
Looking for a lush and safe turf that replicates the fresh look of grass?
It may look like grass but PermaPlay serves a much greater purpose in a fall zone. We developed this super-realistic synthetic grass, backed by a long-lasting shock absorbing underlay, as a more natural-looking alternative to rubber playground surfacing
The Critical Fall Height (CFH) provided by PermaPlay depends on the thickness of the shock pads that are installed underneath. Our shock pads are made to 30mm thickness, or alternatively, a poured rubber shock pad surface can be put down to deliver a CFH from 1.5m to 3.0m.
Perma play comes in rolls of 1.8m or 3.6m wide.

The shockpad underlay acts like the ultimate safety blanket for your play surface, helping project from any falls to minimize injury. The advanced design comes in a few different depths depending on your requirements.
PermaPlay is designed with a top layer of premium turf that helps keep surfaces cool, and soft all year long. The turf layer is engineered to be UV resistant and withstand dire weather conditions.
PermaPlay offers a range of Critical Fall Height factors from 1.5m up to 3.0m, delivering a surface that helps to protect those using the play space. The higher the equipment the thicker the shock pad, and the more cushioning provided.
The shock-pad layer of the surface is designed using either pour rubber granules or recycled foam materials that are compacted together into the thickness required for your space.
