Balaclava School

The Principal of Balaclava School identified the need for a new safety surface that was reliable and would bring the schools playground up to New Zealand safety standards. There was also a concern around easy maintenance and the desire to incorporate two classroom blocks.

After an onsite consultation, Numat created a custom design that fit the school’s need for a surface that would not only make the play area safe for the children but also connect the two main classrooms.

Numat provided a number of services including:

• Concept plan/designs
• Project management
• Final completion and installation of Pour‘n’Play surfacing

The result is a playground that meets New Zealand safety standards that looks great.
