Three Kings School recently underwent a major transformation of its outdoor play spaces in 2022. The school worked with NumatREC to create and surface two new areas for students to play and learn.
One area was transformed using NumatREC’s MulchSet product, which gives a natural look but has all the benefits of a cushioned rubber surface. MulchSet was installed under wooden steppers and beams, creating a seamless and natural-looking play area that matches the more natural-looking surroundings and the bark-surfaced playground nearby.
The next play space is a bright and colourful area that uses vibrant Pour’n’Play surfacing to create a fun new play and learning environment. The space was transformed from a dirt patch where no grass would grow into a visually appealing outdoor area that is safe, and full of play opportunities. By using wet pour rubber, the NumatREC team were able to include ground games and markings into the surface design.
The updated play areas have transformed the underutilized spaces at the school into vibrant and engaging places for students to learn, play, and grow.
