Numat worked with “design and build” company, Creo, to provide the play surface for the new playground area at Pegasus Bay School.
The new playspace was inspired by the School’s coastal location. It called for a relaxed, beachy feel for which Numat’s TopChip engineered woodchip was perfect.
In the centre of the playspace there is a large round play pad made of Numat’s CoolGrass artificial turf. A large mound covered in Pour‘n’Play is the feature, supporting a slide, tunnel, and climbing grips.
The school’s students recently wrote letters to the Board of Trustees thanking them for the new space with one student writing, “Thank you for our new playground, it is awesome. I don’t have a favourite part because I like it all! It’s amazing how you got the same people who made the Margaret Mahy playground surface. They make such good playground surfaces. I love them!”
