The Challenge
Māngere Central School wanted to create a play space that was not only safe and durable but also engaging, inspiring, and inclusive for students of all ages. Their existing play area lacked resilience, often becoming worn and uninviting over time. The school needed a surfacing solution that would withstand daily use while offering an environment that encouraged active play, creativity, and exploration. After assessing the needs of the space and the students, a wet pour rubber surfacing solution was selected. This would provide a seamless, cushioned surface that met the highest safety standards while allowing for dynamic custom graphics and designs that would bring the playground to life.
